Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They did not have a lot of money. Her first job was at Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. Steve met her by a close friend's wedding reception. They were in love, and were married in 1980. Steve was an insurance agent in the year 1980. The couple were blessed with twin girls in 1982.
